Intervention in Afghanistan.

War in Afghanistan began in October 2001. It was America’s first response to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. President George W. Bush (of the executive branch) ordered to raid Afghanistan after the refusal to hand over Al-Qaeda. The US backs the Afghan Northern Alliance in efforts to fight terrorist groups. The US knew that, at the time, Afghanistan was being run by the pro-Islamic political group, the Taliban. This is the longest war America has ever fought (almost 17 years, three presidential administrations), and conflict between Taliban and our country still remains .We have not been successful in the progression in finding an answer to end the war, which has killed thousands of our soldiers and used billions of our dollars. We do not know if there will ever be an end in Afghanistan.

Regarding the involvement in Afghanistan, our party insists on the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan. We do not know if there will ever be a solution to the war in Afghanistan. These people we are fighting against don’t want to give up, just as much as we want to win.We have defeated the original people in the Taliban whom had terrorist motives with America, so why are we staying to rebuild the country? The Islamic fundamentalists hanging around are tough, and they don’t want to surrender. Afghani police and military are no match for Taliban/Islamic fundamentalists.
