Raising the minimum wage in the United States would benefit its workers. An increase in the minimum wage would inject billions of dollars into our economy, as well as creating thousands of new jobs. The Gold Party strives to pull people out of poverty instead of leaving them behind.  This new higher minimum wage would also  reduce government welfare spending. Citizens can get jobs instead of depending on the government for their income aid.
